2. JOB PURPOSE |
|||||||
The Operations Director
will be responsible for the management of the school operations and
facilities. This position will serve as a member of the Senior Management
Team and will oversee the office facilities, housekeeping, security, cleaning
and other support staff. This
position's primary responsibility is ensuring organizational effectiveness by
providing leadership for the school operations. The Operations Director will
report to the Managing Director of the School. |

3. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOBS |

1.
To
oversee the day-to-day operation of the facilities in Nairobi and Kisumu
Campuses 2.
To
manage the facility staff (transport, mechanics, housekeeping, security and
kitchen staff). This includes providing appropriate level of staff training,
setting performance benchmarks managing staff career development, managing
facility work schedules, and identifying areas for improvement, and Annual
Performance Evaluations. 3.
Regularly
update the budget for the operations department and justify financial spend. 4.
To
conduct regular meetings (weekly or biweekly) with facility staff to discuss
various issues in facility operation. 5.
To
interact with users to discuss needs, technical issues and providing
expeditious, effective technical support to the users. 6.
To
meet regularly with the Managing Director to discuss, new technologies,
facilities improvement, career development of the support staff, personnel
management, and operational issues. 7.
To
work with the Managing Director to ensure compliance of health and safety
standards of the facilities. 8.
To
work with various committees to plan for future space expansion, changes in
use of facilities etc. 9.
To
work with the Finance staff to gain complete understanding of the facility
financials and be directly involved in the frugal management of resources to
ensure the financial health of the facilities. 10.
